In the shadows of the alternative investment world, where buzzwords are abundant but redemptions are not, one name continues to reappear, usually in the rear-view mirror of distressed ventures: William Jackson.

From Platinum, West Chevington, and Northumberland Living, his branded companies have left behind a wake of missed payments, vague updates, and increasingly agitated investors.

But while Jackson remains mostly elusive, one figure is always visible, always accessible, and always reassuring. Irene MacKenzie, the immaculately composed Head of Investor Relations.

Her job, on the surface, is simple: investor communication. But many would argue that her real talent lies in sustaining the illusion that everything is going exactly to plan.

Irene MacKenzie-The Calm Voice Between Chaos and Concern

While Jackson’s projects lurch from launch to silence, Irene is the person investors deal with. The go between who answers or delays the tough questions.

According to numerous reports, she is the frontline filter. Absorbing heat from angry clients, responding with courteous vagueness, and offering scheduled update calls that rarely result in actual updates.

It is not that Irene lies. She just seems to have mastered the art of never quite saying anything at all.

And that is the problem. Because when investors ask for clarity, timelines, or even basic information about their funds, what they receive is polite deflection, long silences, or rehearsed reassurances that things are progressing, even as the companies slide deeper into distress.

A Familiar Pattern: Hope, Hype, and Silence

William Jackson’s business model is not mysterious. It is just consistent.

Step one: make bold promises. Green energy, sustainable housing, or whatever is trending.
Step two: issue branded loan notes, often with projected interest rates that raise eyebrows.
Step three: go quiet.

Projects like Platinum and Northumberland drew in retail investors with the promise of secure, asset backed returns. Only for many to be met with delay, silence, and excuses. Redemption payments? Frequently missed. Interest updates? Patchy at best.

Now, attention has shifted to Jackson’s newer projects. Aventurine Climate, WH2022, and Verdant Global. And once again, there is Irene, still managing investor communications. Still calmly reassuring investors while the real answers remain just out of reach.

Impressive Background, Dubious Delivery

According to her now deleted LinkedIn profile, Irene boasts an impressive pedigree. Experience in fraud detection at Lloyds Bank and a background in legal and compliance.

One might think such credentials would make her particularly alert to the warning signs now surfacing across Jackson’s network of companies.

But investors say the opposite is true. Instead of oversight and accountability, what they have encountered is delay, avoidance, and a public relations front that papers over serious structural issues.

Before joining Jackson full time, Irene was Head of Investor Relations for Intelligent Distribution, a company associated with Sonali Craddock. She has since distanced herself from both Craddock and Mark Kidd, stating she now works exclusively for William Jackson. Presumably because she prefers to focus her talents on a single struggling empire rather than spreading herself thin.

More Than Just a Middlewoman?

So here is the real question. Is Irene MacKenzie simply passing on information from above, or is she an essential part of the machinery keeping Jackson’s companies afloat, at least in the eyes of investors?

After all, she does not just relay messages. She manages perception. She responds on behalf of directors. She softens the blow of bad news. And crucially, she keeps investors from knocking too loudly on Jackson’s door.

Her title gives legitimacy. Her emails provide just enough comfort to stall complaints. And her role, however indirectly, helps shield Jackson from direct accountability.

Make no mistake. Jackson may be behind the curtain pulling the strings, but Irene is the one holding the curtain closed.

The Pressure Cooker

This is not about poor customer service or a slow admin team. This is a well worn pattern.

Investors are courted with glossy brochures and big promises.
Payments stall.
Irene answers emails, until she does not.
Complaints rise.
And still, Irene maintains the front of calm professionalism, as if the walls are not cracking behind her.

Which leads to the inevitable question. Why?

What does Irene MacKenzie gain from staying in the centre of this collapsing carousel? Is it loyalty? Leverage? A paycheque? Or does she genuinely believe that all these failed or faltering companies are just temporarily misunderstood?

Whatever the answer, one thing is clear. Irene is not just taking calls. She is keeping the system intact. For now.
