Alert: Woodpile Media Limited – Insolvent and Still Trading

Our company alert this week relates to Woodpile Media Limited, a business and domestic software development company with a registered office at 12 Imperial Crescent, London (having recently moved from 71 Shelton Street, London).
The company, which owed our client $35,000 plus interest (the debt) and costs, is linked, via Director Ross Alex Williams, to a group of companies focused predominantly on the online dating sector.
On 6th December 2024, our client assigned the debt to Insolvency & Law Limited (I&L), and we are committed to recovering these funds. Not being able to pay your debts when they fall due satisfies the definition of insolvency. Nevertheless, Woodpile Media remains trading.
Furthermore, we can report that the company is behind on filing its accounts. The last filed accounts to January 31st 2023 showed 2 previous years of balance sheet insolvency.
Company accounts
Notably, the accounts filed for January 31st 2022 declared the two Directors as owing the company significant amounts of money – Williams, £143,274, and Steve Raymond Pammenter, £47.005.
Williams, the current sole Director and shareholder of Woodpile Media, is no stranger to distressed companies. I&L currently sits on the Creditors’ Committee of Venntro Media Group Limited, of which Mr. Williams is also the sole Director and shareholder.
Separately, Ambervine People Limited, another company of which Williams is the sole Director and a co-shareholder, is also in a creditor’s voluntary liquidation.
Meanwhile, as Woodpile Media is evidently insolvent, I&L intends to litigate these debts. We shall do this either by a County Court action or insolvency proceedings, such as a petition to wind up the companies. If Woodpile Media Limited owes you money, please make contact with us immediately via investigations@insolvencyandlaw.co.uk.
If you are owed money by any company that is refusing to pay, for whatever reason, and you believe the debt to be rightly due, please contact I&L via investigations@insolvencyandlaw.co.uk to discuss your options.
